- 1970-1976 Artistic Director, Gyumri State Drama Theatre after Vardan Ajemian.
- 1953 -1958 years he studied in Yerevan Theatrical Institute, actor’s faculty, in Vartan Adjemyan’s studio.
1962 – 1965 years he studied in the same institute, stage director’s faculty.
During 1964-65 years he studied in the higher stage director courses in St Petersburg Gorky Drama Theatre, under the direction of Georgy Tovstonogov.
He has worked in Yerevan State Theatre Of Young Spectators, in Yerevan Dramatic Theatre, in Giumry State Dramatic Theatre after Vartan Adjemyan, in Yerevan State Academic Drama Theatre after G. Sundukyan and finally in Yerevan State Musical Comedy Theatre after Hagop Paronyan. He was an actor, a stage director, an artistic director and executive director.
Since 1974 he had taught in Yerevan State Institute Of Theatre and Cinema (a professor).
1995 – 2007 years he was the chairman of Armenian Union of theatre workers.
Among his performances in several Armenian theatres were; “Dead Men Without Burial” (Sartre), “For Honour”, “Morgan’s God Parent” (Shirvanzadeh -“Artavazd” theatrical award), “The Idiot”, “Crime and Punishment” (Dostoevsky), “Wedding 73”, “Mr Babick and the others” (Harutjunyan), “Mother Kurazh and Her Children” (Brekht), “Bloody Wedding”, “Bernarda Alba’s Daughters” (Lorka), “The Land Of Nairy”, Charents’ Reformatory House” (by Charents – A. Aivazyan), “A History Of One Town” (Saltikov-Shchedrin), “All’s Well That Ends Well”, “Much Ado About Nothing”, Twelfth Night” (Shakespeare), “I’m a Man’’ (Sanin), “Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme” (Moliere), “Marriage” (Gogol), “That’s Me, I’ve Come”, “Lord, Don”t Leave Us Alone”, “I Don’t Even Have Right To Die” (Ananyan), “Lisistrate” (Aristophane), “Uncle Baghdasar”, “The Eastern Dentist” (Paronyan-Aivazyan), “Karineh” (Chukhajyan), “Better Late Than Never” (Aivazyan-Yeritsyan), “The Sun With You” (Papayan). |
Awards.
Yervand Ghazanchyan had many awards and medals from the government, President, Armenian Apostolic Church and Armenian Union of Theatre Workers.
