THE CHIEF STAGE DIRECTOR HAKOP GHAZANCHYAN
Hakop Ghazanchyan was born in 1959, July 3, in Yerevan. He has finished Giumry School 6 after Pushkin. In 1982 he has finished Stage Director faculty of Moscow Theatrical Institute. 1984-89, he was the chief stage director of Kapan State Dramatic Theatre after A. Shirvanzade, 1989-96 - the chief director of Giumry State Dramatic Theatre after V. Adjemyan. He has taken part in many international festivals and has many awards and prizes. Since 2007 he is the chairman of Armenian Union of Theatrical Workers. In 2006 he got title of people’s artist, in 2012 and 2013 he got ARTAVAZD theatrical award. |
Stage Director ANUSH SARGSSYAN
Anush Sargssyan came to Musical Comedy Theatre in 1983, before finishing the Stage Director Faculty of Yerevan State Institute of Theatre and Cinema. Her first performance in the Musical Comedy Theatre was R. Avetissyan’s play “Let’s Keep the Formal Sside”. She has staged more than 30 performances. Many of those performances had a long life (10, 15 years). Her best performances are “Love to Death” (A. Nikolai), “Uncle Baghdasar” (H. Paronyan), “Supper with the Fool” ( F. Veber), “The Sun with You” (A. Papayan), “Love Flurry” (A. Nikolai), “My Wife, Your Hasband and the Vice Major” (D. Fo), “Four Causes For Marriage” (J. Baer). |
CHIEF CONDUCTOR HARUTIUN ARZUMANYAN
Harutiun Arzumanyan was born in 1971, in Giumry. 1993-1996 he studied and finished Yerevan State Conservatory after Komitas (conducting faculty). After several years working in State Opera And Ballet theatre and con ducting many operas and symphony concerts H. Arzumanyan came to Musical Comedy theatre and conducted such musical comedies as “The Eastern Dentist”, “Charents”, “Better Late Than Never”. His role is big in musical life of the theatre. |
LEADER OF THE CHORUS SHUSHAN HOVHANNESSYAN
Shushan Hovhannessyan wsa born in Giumry. In 1999 she finished musical college after Arno Babajanyan and then she learned and finished Yerevan State Conservatory’s conductor faculty (Hovhannes Chekijyan;s class). For several years she worked in Moscow. Since 2000 she leads the chorus of Musical Comedy Theatre. |
CONDUCTOR KAREN LAVCHYAN
He is violinist and conductor. He was born in Yerevan, in 1958. He finished Yerevan State Conservatory in 1981 (violin class) and in 1995 (conductor faculty). After conducting A. Tigranyan”s “Anush’’, T. Chukhajyan’s “Arshak The Second”, “Karineh”, Verdy’s “Othello” In State Opera and Ballet Theatre, in 2019 he was invited to Musical Comedy Theatre. He gives master classes to the actors and to the chorus singers. |
COUNSELLOR OF THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, COMPOSER, PEOPLE'S ARTIST MARTIN VARTAZARYAN
Martin Vartazaryan is a composer and pianist. In 1961 he finished piano faculty and in 1970 creation faculty. 1956-1960 he has been the pianist 0f TV and Radio Quintet. 1966-1972 he was the head of musical ensemble. He has written music for many performances and films. |
RUBEN MATEVOSSYAN
Ruben Matevossyan is a singer, pianist, People’s artist of RA, professor (1996). Since 1961 so far, he was the soloist and then the chief manager of State Ensemble Of Armenian Folk Instruments. He gave many concerts in all over the word. Since 2016 he is the manager of Musical Comedy Theatre Chorus. He controlls the vocal of the actors and chorus singers. |
THE MANAGER OF THE MUSEUM SERGEI ARAKELYAN
Sergei Arakelyan is a winner of Republican Festival, “Artist” Festival, “Gohar Gasparyan” Gold Prize, “Artavazd” Prize. He was born in 1931, May 25. He finished Yerevan State Institute of Theatre And Cinema. During his childhood he attended theatrical, vocal and literature groups in the Palace of Pioneers. 1951 – 1954 he lived in Batumi, organized a theatrical group and staged many performances. 1954 – 1962 he worked in Yerevan State Musical Comedy theatre as an actor. He has written very interesting books about Svetlana Grikoryan, Karp Khachvankyan, Gohar Gasparyan, Babken Nersisyan, Zhenya Avetissyan, Yuri Amiryan, Ophelia Hanbartsumyan, Yervand Ghazanchyan, Galya Novents. Among his books we can mention the Chronology Album of Yerevan State Opera and Ballet Theatre and “75 years of Yerevan State Musical Comedy Theatre after Hakop Paronyan”. Sergei Arakelyan has a title of Honored Art Worker. |
